Born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, SC, I started playing soccer at the age of 3 and haven’t stopped playing since. My love of the game and love to introduce others to the game brought me to begin coaching young children at the recreation level while I was a high school student. After graduating from North Myrtle Beach High School in 2004, I continued my soccer playing career at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. I started all four years for the Quakers and played in every game during my four year collegiate career. During my four years in college I coached during the summers at the North Carolina Girls Soccer Camp working alongside many collegiate coaches and players. After obtaining my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management & Sports Management, I furthered my education and obtained my Master’s of Arts in Teaching Business Education from the University of South Carolina.
After obtaining my Master’s I was accepted to a teaching position at Charleston Charter School for Math & Science (CCSMS) in 2011, at this time I began coaching the CCSMS Riptide Co-ed Varsity Soccer team. I was the head coach of the Co-ed Varsity team for four seasons helping coach the team to 2 Region Championships, a 1A Lowerstate Championship, and a State Runner-up. In 2016 CCSMS started a Varsity Girls Riptide Soccer team in which I transitioned from the Co-ed coach to the Girls Head Coach. Within the last three years our Girls team has continued to improve and build with our team going to our first playoffs in 2018 and winning our first playoff game in school history.
